Bandhavargh National Park is in the central region of Madhya Pradesh. It is home to Royal Bengal Tigers and herds of Asian elephants. I visited in January 2023 which due to thick vegetation is a difficult time to locate tigers in the wild. I was lucky to spot a lone male as he walked quickly past the jeep one day and a female tiger who was hiding in the grasses. A wait of about an hour was rewarded by her walking along the top of a ridge. I also witnessed elephants, deer, monkeys and a jackal.
