About this gallery
I like to sometimes take myself out of my comfort zone and so I joined a group to visit Uzbekistan to explore and photograph the madrasas, mosques, people and mausoleums of Samarkand, Khiva and Bukhara. It was a fantastic experience, the architecture was amazing and the details and colours were simply stunning. All the people I met were friendly and the tombs, bazaars and outdoor markets were fascinating. I really enjoyed the experience of travelling around this Country. In this gallery I have tried to provide a small example of the colours, textures and people from my journey along the Silk Road.
